The Institute for the Law of the Sea and International Marine Environmental Law (ISRIM) co-operates with the University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven. The University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven is based at the mouth of the river Weser towards the Northern Sea and offers innovative, modern and maritime oriented academic programmes. The "University at the Sea" has about 2,600 students from 66 countries in 28 bachelor and master programmes. The curricula and research activities of the programmes are targeted at what is needed in practice and gives this new impetus through future-oriented developments.

IMO International Maritime Law Institute
The IMO International Maritime Law Institute was established under the auspices of the International Maritime Organization, a specialised agency of the United Nations.
The Institute is an international centre for the training of specialists in maritime law. It also contributes to the development and dissemination of knowledge and expertise in international maritime law, with special reference to the international regulations and procedures for safety and efficiency of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution.
