Die International Conference on Marine Environmental Law (ICMEL) wurde von der gemeinnützigen Gesellschaft für Angewandten Umweltschutz und Sicherheit im Seeverkehrt (GAUSS) und Andree Kirchner als Projektmanager vom 17.-19. April 2002 in Bremen organisiert.
