Das Institut für Seevölkerrecht und Internationales Meeresumweltrecht (ISRIM) betreibt eigene Forschungsprojekte zu den Themenbereichen bzw. Forschungsschwerpunkten des Institutes. Zudem beteiligt es sich an Drittmittel-Projekten, d.h. öffentlich geförderte Forschungsprojekte, entweder als Projektpartner oder auch als Unterauftragnehmer.

Die Forschungs- und Entwicklungsergebnisse werden im Rahmen von Veröffentlichungen und Veranstaltungen zur Verfügung gestellt.
